breakdown... part1

There's no way in the world this last weekend can be memoried up in 1 post... hence the parts.
Best friends are hard to come by... especially best friends that are willing to come across the country to vacation.  
We couldn't have been happier to hear our friends were coming to visit!  Although I did listen to this song as much as possible as a hint.
Plans were underway and although everything didn't go 'as planned' I wouldn't change a minute of the weekend.
there was a cacti proposal during our wait on the highway...
how we treat our guests...
found a place to lay our head, a pizza parlor, a gazebo to randomly swing dance, and the next day found this awesome castle... 
a touch of fall... AZ style.
car got fixed and it was time for some grub... so naturally we let them try out some rattlesnake for themselves...
oh those faces... priceless.
...Slide Rock Park...
it was slippery, cold... and amazing!!!
and then there was the breathtaking vista....
best weekend ever, part one concluded...

    arizona is beautiful. so breathtaking. my husband and i keep saying we need to take a road trip and visit utah, colorado, wyoming and arizona.

      they did ok:) I'm not sure Ashes feelings on the situation but she was a trooper!
      have you ever had it? the texture is kinda like rubbery chicken... The dipping sauce made it tasty though:)
